ERNEST 'SKIP' STEFANON, 77

LAKELAND - Ernest 'Skip' Stefanon passed away at Lakeland Regional Medical Center on Friday, February 27, 2015. Although his heart was large, he succumbed early in the evening to heart failure. He worked for State Farm Insurance for 35 years and was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Lakeland. He lived a wonderful life of love, laughter, family and golf for 77 amazing years and he will be missed greatly. His family includes his wife Jane, that has loved him dearly for sixty years, and his five children: Greg, Michelle, Leslie, Laurie, and Tracey. The legacy that he leaves behind also includes his eleven grandchildren, his brother Robert, and friends that span between Pennsylvania, Illinois and Florida. A lifelong Steeler fan, Ernie was always ready for good conversation and never turned down a game of cards. He left this world with his family by his side listening to memories and stories of his wonderful life that will never be forgotten. A service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL, on March 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
