Emma "June" Hammock Hansen's Obituary
Emma “June” Hammock Hansen
Lithia – June Hansen, 77, passed away on May 23, 2022.
June was born in Lakeland on June 1, 1944. She worked for Kraft Foods in Lakeland as a sectionizer and a maintenance worker. Following her retirement from Kraft Foods, she drove a semi-truck across the country for D&K Trucking and then throughout the SW states for Albertsons. She also retired from both trucking companies.
June was an animal lover and enjoyed being outdoors. She raced horses for years, and always had horses, dogs and cats in her life. June would help anyone that needed it and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
June was known by all of her daughters’ friends as “Mama June,” and her grandchildren called her Nana. She is survived by her brother, Max (Jan) Hammock of Lakeland; daughters, Sheryl (Jim) White of Lakeland and Patty Baldwin of Plant City; grandchildren, Joey (Kusma) Hughes of Plant City, Jamie (Matt) Edwards of Lakeland, Jessica (Mike) Bethune of Liverpool, NY, James White of Lakeland, Elijah (Jerrica) Hughes of Lakeland and Samantha (Paul) Phillips of Oneonta, AL; and her 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in June’s honor to the SPCA of Lakeland.
