ELMA E. GILMORE, 81
LAKELAND -
Elma E. Gilmore, 81, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on August 11, 2015, after a brave, seven year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Joseph and Margaret Theresa Finn, her husband Milton Raymond Gilmore Sr., and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Linda Woodie (Phil), son Milton 'Ray' Gilmore (Melissa), daughter Julie McDonald (Chad), grandchildren, Zachary Gilmore, Alexandra Gilmore, Allison McDonald, Trevor Mc-Donald, and Tristan Gilmore, three sisters, Mary Finn, Catherine Mitzel (Dennis), and Barbara Gilbert (Ray). Elma was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She worked in the Claims Department at Summit Consulting for 25 years until the age of 72. Elma loved to travel, go to Disney World, and spend time with her grandchildren. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support of family and friends and the amazing staff at The Watson Clinic Center for Cancer Care and Research and Palm Terrace of Lakeland. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 16th from 2-4 pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 17th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
