Elizabeth (Dale) Turner Westberry
Country music legend, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away at the age of 90 on October 22, 2024. Born to Joseph Turner and Lorraine Simms Turner on July 28, 1934.
Miss Dale Turner-From the Washington D.C. Area-Started out on The Jimmy Dean: Town and Country TV Show with Patsy Cline. Patsy And Dale became very close friends. Patsy moved to Nashville around '60, Dale followed in '67. Dale landed a Columbia Record contract with Bob Tubert Producing. Dale met and married songwriter and singer Kent Westberry-who later produced Dale for a new label, Willex Records. Dale had several records for that label. Dale worked as part of The Jimmy Case and The Cherokees Show and traveled to many countries and all over the United States. She had appeared on The Ralph Emery Show and Grand Ole Opry, Etc.
Preceded in death by her sister Lyn.
Survived by her loving husband James Kent Westberry, daughters Susan Mosier (Mark), Judith McClure (Gary), Debeaux Grace Hinson, and Dawn Millis; a sister Renee Miles (Richard); also survived by loving grandchildren, family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 28th from 10-11am with funeral services at 11 am, Fellowship Assembly of God, 4405 N. Galloway Road, Lakeland, Florida 33810. Burial at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
