Elgin Thompson, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Elgin Thompson Jr. (ET), 74, of Coral Ridge, passed away after a courageous four year battle with brain cancer on February 23, 2016.
Mr. Thompson was a retired truck driver for USF Holland, a member of Local 89. He was a man of integrity, worked hard all his life, and set the standard for his sons. He will be missed dearly. Special thanks to Stephanie with Hosparus for her loving care.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 53 years, Joyce Thompson; sons, Anthony "Tony" Thompson, Michael Thompson (Wendy), Stephen Thompson (Becky); grandchildren Amber, Shane, Alex, Trent, Makenna, Caleb Thompson; brother, Clifford Thompson (Bernetty), sister, Wanda Skaggs; special in laws, Lew Hall (Anita), Larry (Angie) Carlisle; and daughter in laws, Becky, Wendy Thompson.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, February 26, 2016 in the chapel of Preston Highway Schoppenhorst with burial at Penn Run Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm.
