LAKELAND - Edna M. Porter died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at her home. She was 98.
Born in Homeville, PA, on Oct. 16, 1915, she moved to Lakeland, FL, in 1978. She retired from Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh, PA, as a Repair Representative. Edna was a member of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene.
Predeceased were her husband George O. Porter in 1995 and son, James R. Miller in 2013.
She is survived by her sister Edythe Humphrey, Woodbridge, VA; stepson George O. Porter, Jr., Harrisburg, PA; stepdaughter Annetta Graham, Frostproof, FL, and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday 9:00-10:00am at Highland Park Nazarene Church with services to begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. Arrangements by Gentry- Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.
