Earl Daane
Winter Haven - Earl Daane, 75, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, Aug. 25th, 2015 while camping in Wisconsin.
Earl was born October 7, 1939 in Fairwater, WI to Harry & Mary Daane. He married Betty Riel January 3, 1958 in Waupun, WI. Earl retired in 1998 from Rock River Generating Station; having worked over 30 years for WI Power & Light Company. Earl & Betty retired to Winter Haven, FL in 2000. Throughout his life, Earl was committed to serving God. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and visiting friends. He was an avid fan of Southern Gospel music and attended many concerts.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty, daughters, Debra Lukas (Dennis) of Grand Marsh, WI and Tammy Daane of Lakeland, FL, and "the apple of his eye" , Granddaughter, Naomi Lukas, brother Harvey Daane (Elaine); sister Harriett Degener (Douglas-deceased) and close family friend, Judy Gard. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Daane. Earl was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wed. Sept 2nd beginning with visitation from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, 4777 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL. Burial will be private.
