LAKELAND - Dorothy Hazel Harris Register, 84, passed away April 1, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice due to respiratory failure. She was born January 5, 1930 in Samson, Alabama and moved here in 1947 from Alabama. She was a homemaker and also worked as a fruit packer in the citrus industry. She enjoyed quilting and Sunday school outings.
Mrs. Register was preceded in death by her husband Hillory "Bill" Register, Sr.; parents Joseph and Carrie Harris; 4 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by daughter Shirley (Lester) Pope; son Hillory "Sonny" (Lori) Register, Jr.; sister Betty (Don) Turner; grandchildren Meredith Spresser, Marissa (Colby) Beck, Jordan Pope, Ethan Register; great grandchildren Gabriel Beck and Miller Beck.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 4, at 2:00 P.M. at Medulla Baptist Church with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
