Dorothy Ann Jacoby's Obituary
Dorothy Ivey Jacoby was called to Heaven on March 16, 2020 to be with her eternal maker and her beloved Husband Frank.
To her five children, (Donald, Sandra (Brown), Pat, Mike, and Bobby) she was known as Momma who would fix and take care of everything. To her nine grandchildren and more than a dozen great grandchildren, she was known as Grandma or Mema who always hosted Christmas Eves and Sunday suppers and opened her Weeki Wachee River house to all.
Countless people also knew her as “Mrs. Dot”. During her 30-plus year career with the State of Florida, she taught many women how to cook, be loving mothers, and take care of their household. She also volunteered her time and talents to Kathleen High School as well as many organizations in Polk County. Everyone who asked for helped or knocked on her door for advice were always welcome.
As we mourn her passing, we should find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with those before her in a new life eternal.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not parish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
