Doris Darlene Edwards' Obituary
Doris Darlene Edwards passed away on August 6th at the age of 94. She was born on August 26th, 1928, in Booge, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lendall; her parents Lloyd and Ellen Sandell; two sisters, Elaine Smit and Loraine Winter; two brothers, Lloyd Sandell Jr. and Robert Sandell and son-in-law Jim Murray. She is survived by her loving children, Norma Reilly, Lanee Dell, Candice Murray, Tamara Syvertsen (Richard), and Scott Edwards. Grandchildren: Rebecca Braaten (Benjamin), Therese Pickens (Mike), Sarai Monroe (Phil), Nissa Reilly, Meghan Nelson, Ian Syvertsen, Tessa Syvertsen (Kailum). Great-grandchildren: Jordyn, McKenzie, Scott, Evan, Kaden, Brynleigh, Zachary, Hannah, Laine, Kharis, Declan, Toryn. A Viewing will be held at Gentry Morrison Southside in Lakeland Florida, on Wednesday, August 9th from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 16th at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Farmington, NM. Doris will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington, New Mexico.
Doris was a long-time resident of Farmington and after many years of service retired from Western Tire and Appliance. She moved to live with her family to Florida where she enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, and being active in her church. She especially enjoyed being with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in various sports.
