Donna Marie Murphy (Mitton) age 70 of Lakeland, FL, was received into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday May 31, 2023.
Donna loved Jesus her Lord and Savior from the age of 17. She shared her faith often. Her love for family was soon a part of every conversation. On February 11, 2006 a new and exciting love was celebrated when she married Tony Murphy. God was always at the center of their marriage.
Born on July 28, 1952 in Kalispell, MT where Donna lived. She graduated on June 1, 1970 from Flathead High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree on May 10, 1974 from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA. After college Donna moved to Guam as an educator. She joined Youth With A Mission and served in Hong Kong & Hawaii. Donna moved back to the States to continue teaching in Whitefish, MT. She also worked in a group home. In 1986 she moved to Central FL, to begin a 30-year career as teacher with the Polk County School Board. She was a faithful member of Trinity Christian Center Lakeland Florida.
Survived by her adoring husband of 17 years James Anthony Murphy (Tony). Brothers Robert Mitton (Veletta) of Ramona, CA, David Mitton (Evonne) Helena, MT, Sister Nadine Mitton Eckert (Gary) Kalispell, MT. 4 nieces & 3 nephews.
Preceded in death by her father Edward Robert Mitton, and mother Geraldine Marie Mitton (Lynch) 2 nieces, & 1 nephew.
Celebration of life service will be held on Thursday June 8, 2023 at:
