Donald Curtis Richardson's Obituary
Donald Curtis “Toad” Richardson, Sr., 54, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at home with his wife at his side, holding hands for the last time. He succumbed to throat cancer after a courageous 1.5 year battle. He is no longer in pain, and no longer suffers. He entered the Kingdom of God where his father and beloved grandmother, Ina Clarkin, were waiting with open arms.
Donald was born Feb. 18, 1962 in Weymouth, MA to Donald B. Richardson, deceased, and Joan A. Clarkin Richardson.
Donald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Juliana “Juli” Bernadette Richardson; his children, Donald Curtis, Jr., 28, Stephanie Marie, 27, Alysha Renee, 24, Alec William, 17, Grace Kathleen, 14; his two grandsons, Zion Alexander, 3, Jackson Joseph, 1; and his brother, James “Jimmy” Robert Richardson, as well as many brothers and sister in laws, and his mother in law. May God lay his hand on his family while they take time to grieve and mourn the loss of the one they loved so dearly.
The family formerly of Abington, MA, moved to Lakeland in March 2003. In Abington, Donald worked for Alloy Fabricators of New England for 14 years. He worked at Mid-State Machine & Fabrication in Lakeland, FL for 8 years until his passing. Donald loved camping, building model cars, restoring old cars, swimming, and large holiday parties. His favorite quote to his wife and children was, “I love you forever and always.”
He will live in our hearts and watch over us from heaven for the rest of our lives. May God hold him close while he waits to see us, again.
A memorial gathering will take place Fri. 2-4pm at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland.
