Deron Wayne Daniel's Obituary
Deron Wayne Daniel was born September 9, 1965, to Jerry and Sue Daniel in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida.
Deron dedicated much of his life to Christian education and ministry. He graduated from Southeastern University in 2005 with a degree in Business and Christian Leadership and was a licensed Bishop in the Church of God. Deron served as both a teacher and principal at Mulberry Christian Academy for over 20 years. He also served as youth pastor then pastor of Mulberry Church of God for many years. Deron faithfully lived and served his community by investing in students and families and was known for his compassion and commitment to sharing the love of Christ.
Deron married his sweetness, Teri Daniel in 1986, celebrating 39 years of marriage. He loved spending time with his family, going on youth trips, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
Deron is survived by his loving wife, Teri Daniel; his father, Jerald Daniel, his children, Jennifer Jones (Matt), Jacob Daniel (Peyton), and Joshua Daniel (Brianna); his granddaughter, Audrey Jones; and his siblings, Jerry Daniel (Choe), Susan Daniel, David Daniel (Terrie), and Vicki Gill (Jay).
In addition, Deron is lovingly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom he cared for and loved deeply, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the local youth ministry here at City on a Hill Church, a ministry close to Deron’s heart, reflecting his lifelong passion for investing in the next generation. Link to donate below.

The Celebration of Deron’s life will be held at City on a Hill Church in Lakeland on Saturday, March 21st at 10am.
