Delia Ann Franz's Obituary
Delia Ann Franz was born on January 25, 1944, in Franklin, North Carolina. She was a twin to Dave Grindstaff, the daughter of Pallie Jones and Charlie Grindstaff, and the beloved sister of Betty Peace and Charles Grindstaff.
In 1965, Ann moved to Florida, where she married Dennis Franz in 1966. Together they raised two sons, Ivan and David Franz, who were her pride and joy. She was also blessed with a daughter-in-law Lisa, who she adored, and four grandchildren — Britney Vaughn, Brandon Elliott, Jessica May and Damen Franz — who brought her endless joy.
Ann devoted her life to being a stay-at-home mother, a role she embraced with love, dedication, and grace. She was simple, honest, and kind-hearted, always putting others before herself. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life; she raised her children in church and remained an active member of several congregations throughout the years.
She loved the color pink, enjoyed playing bingo, going to buffets, attending church, and spending time with God and family. Above all, Delia loved her children deeply and unconditionally.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A graveside service at Auburndale Memorial Park will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:00AM.
