DAVID PAUL, 71
LAKELAND
Passed away peacefully on October 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Moffitt Cancer Center due to respiratory failure. David was born December 28, 1942, in Leesburg, FL., the son of Floyd and Virginia (Hall) Paul. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he will be dearly missed by all. Dependable, hardworking, and dedicated to family, David Paul was a rock to hold on to for all who knew him. Having been graced with natural athletic abilities, David excelled at team sports playing baseball, basketball and football and was named outstanding athlete of his senior class. He grew up in Tavares, FL., attending Tavares High and Troy Alabama University. He met and married the love of his life, Vivian (Shoemaker) Paul. They have been married 53 years. David spent the last 40 working years in the produce industry. Dave had a passion for old classic cars and loved outdoor activities from fishing to skiing. He is survived by his loving wife Vivian Paul; 2 sons, Chris (Kelly), Mark (Rebecca) and daughter Lisa (Derek Newberry) Paul. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Thomas Gerald Yencho (Lindsey), Taylor Paul, Dakota Paul, Makenna and Ella Paul, 2 great grandchildren, Teagen and Ryker Yencho.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, 11:00 am at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene with Funeral Services following at 12:00 pm with Pastor Dave Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland.
