David “Dave” Vernon Mills, age 55, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Dave was born on January 26,1964 in Omaha, Nebraska to Patricia and Blair Mills. He moved to Clearwater in 1973, before coming to Lakeland in 1987. He graduated Read Obituary
So many fond memories from high school like hanging out and hooking up with friends, taking pictures, jumping off the diving board into the Mills’ pool, driving the conversion van to Orlando to see Kool and the Gang, watching Dinker play baseball and camping. God rest his soul.
Dave was a great friend and a master photographer. I had the pleasure of working with him for over 6 years shooting sports. Dave always had a smile on his face and everybody loved him! He was always learning and experimenting with photography. He would study different techniques and gave freely his knowledge of photography. Dave would teach the new photographers every year on the proper way to shoot. But what I was impressed with and always admired, was him pushing his photography skills higher and higher every year. He was and will always be an inspiration to all who have known him and will follow his foots steps. Dave, you will be missed brother!
I remember David from high school - photographer for our yearbook and newspaper. He was always kind to everyone, was never without a smile, and loved what he did! Those of us who had the honor to know him are blessed. May he Rest In Peace.
We were classmates for much of elementary, junior high and high school. Dave was wonderful, kind, smart and a great photographer. He'll be missed greatly. My condolences to his family and friends.
