DAVID HENRY BOYD, 73
Professor of Psychology Southeastern University
LAKELAND - David H. Boyd, 73, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, due to complications from diabetes. He was born in Watertown, NY, and moved to Lakeland in 1992 from Montgomery, AL. David retired from Southeastern University where he was a Professor of Psychology for 13 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. David was also an Assembly of God minister. Survivors include his wife, Carol of Lakeland; sons, John (Aaron) Boyd of Kissimmee, FL, Joe (Joy) Boyd of Mulberry, FL; daughter, Elizabeth Boyd McCown of Lakeland; brothers, Dr. William (Josephine) Boyd of Dayton, TN, Alfred (JoAnn) Boyd of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren, Asher McCown, Aiden McCown, and Finn Boyd.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26th, 10:00 - 11:00 am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am.
