Daphne Nell Lee's Obituary
Daphne Nell Lee (née Hutchinson) passed away on March 21, 2025, in Auburndale, FL at the age of 92. Born on January 3, 1933, in Pierce, FL, she was the cherished daughter of Roy and Neta Hutchinson and grew up in Mulberry, where she graduated from Mulberry High School.
Daphne, alongside her beloved husband of 64 years, Johnny Lee, who predeceased her, was a successful business owner. Together, they operated Johnny Lee's Truck & Trailer Parts in Lakeland for 34 years, a testament to their hard work and dedication to their community.
A devoted follower of Jesus, Daphne's faith was a significant aspect of her life. She found joy in gardening, a hobby she lovingly shared with her husband, creating beautiful spaces around their home.
Daphne is survived by her daughters, Marsha (Robert) Newman, Mindy (Jay) Stephens, Angela (Mike) Smith; son, Jim (Abby) Lee; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee; granddaughter, Annabeth Stephens; her parents, Roy and Neta Hutchinson; and brothers, James LeRoy and Ralph Edward Hutchinson.
The service to honor Daphne's life will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Gentry Morrison Funeral Home of Lakeland, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or Good Shepherd Hospice in memory of Daphne. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and faith will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
