Daniel “Danny” Wayne Elliott
Son of James Wayne and Arizona Reed Elliott Died on February 24th, 2025, at Good Shephard Hospice in Lakeland, FL. Born in Oneida, TN, he moved to Lakeland, FL in 1953 at the age of 9. He was a Veteran of the Marine Corps from 1963-1967 and a member of the Marine Corps Choir. Danny had a deep love for family that wasn't expressed with words but through his efforts to provide for those he loved. He believed wholeheartedly in anonymous giving. His hobbies included collecting anything with a motor and acquiring projects he wouldn't complete. He was the friend you called anytime if you needed a hand. He became a welder in 1969 working for the Boilermakers and Pipefitters unions that would have him traveling the country till he retired in 2000. After retirement he took on the role of a dedicated grandfather, running grandchildren to and from school and keeping them full of ice-cream and junk food. He believed the cure to any ailment was an ice-cream float.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Arizona Elliott, siblings, Joan Acres, Jane Keen, William “Bill” Elliott, Joyce Dodson, and Sherra Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn Elliott, daughter Shirley Michelle Hall and husband Marshall Hall, beloved grandchildren Morgan Carter and spouse Zach Carter, Dillon Hall and spouse Maddy Hall, and Elysse Hall, and sister Linda Roman.
