Dan C. Foster
Lakeland – Dan C. Foster, 95, was born in Center Hill, FL Mar. 6, 1920, and went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2015.
He was a retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Dan was a Deputy Sheriff in Lake Wales for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office from 1947-1948. He was a contractor, developer and citrus grower. Dan was married to Eunice Shivler Langley for 64 years. He loved his stepson James Shivler greatly, and had a wife that was easy to love. Dan enjoyed fishing with his wife and son in his pastime.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Foster, his mother and father; and 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, James Shivler; two granddaughters, Kim Shivler and Kasey Miller; two great granddaughters, Kendra and Brooke Miller; and his trusted confidant and caretaker, Carlane Pridgen.
Visitation will be Monday from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland, with services to follow at 11 am at the funeral chapel, with Dr. Bob Bunker officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
