Dale Lloyd Husted, age 83 of Lakeland, FL, went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2016. He was born on April 23, 1933, in Alma, MI, to Clarence and Esther Husted. Dale joined the Army when he was 18 and he served 3 years. He married the love of his life, Shirley, and they shared 60 years together, raising 2 children.
Dale worked for General Telephone for 15 years, Hansen Flying Service for 17 years and Flight Safety International for 26 years, retiring in 2009 at the age of 76.
Dale had a great sense of humor and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Dale is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Robin (Kevin) Hall and Kelly (Jerry) Dunning; brother, Gary Husted; sisters, Vera Ward, Velma Priest, and Wilma Wood; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. There will also be visitation on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 12:30 pm to 1 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm, at First United Methodist Church Chapel, 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, 33801.
