I met Dean through Seth early on in my college career, maybe 2004. He was "THE DAD" of the group of friends. Though he was Seth's dad, to me, he seemed like an older brother to the group. He was the one that had fun stories to share, cool events to invite us to. He had the most interesting hobbies to demonstrate and allow us to participate in. He taught me how to shoot sporting clays and invited me to an event where he and Seth smoked every single clay. He was always excited to share his love of photography. He allowed me to shoot my first gun with (let's say a device that muffles sound!!!), he invited me into his home on many a night when Seth and I would be up late and he and Diane invited me to spend a Christmas at their house when I had nowhere else to go. He always had a smile on his face and had 5 jokes lined up to share. He never would let an opportunity to sing Karaoke. He was the best during trivia nights. Every event that I had the privilege of joining in on an event with Seth, it was his dad, who made sure everyone felt welcome. Never was he shy, never was he not ready to share advice and never was he not proud of his kids. He is the template of being a present father who loves his kids and I hope to follow his example. Koulogianes family, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope this short note provides a smile and some comfort in this difficult time.
