LAKELAND - Mr. Clyde F. May passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. He was born in Columbus, OH and moved to Lakeland from Lancaster, OH in 1966. Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a draftsman for Westinghouse and Martin-Marietta. Clyde also spent time working on the Space Shuttle, then retired from Lake Alfred Experimental Station. In his spare time, Clyde enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie. Survivors include his son, Gary Lee May; sister, Joann VanHorn; grandson, Josh (Katie) May; great grandchild, Stella May.
Visitation with the family is Wednesday, 10:00 - 11:00am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Services will begin at 11:00am. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Condolences to the family may be offered at gentry-morrison.com
