Claudette P. Angel's Obituary
Lakeland
Claudette P. Angel, 74, went to be with our Lord Jesus Tuesday, February 25, 2020 due to complications from pneumonia. She was born April 3, 1945 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to the late Ernest and Regina Chauvin LaCharite.
Claudette, who always loved to volunteer her time, was a communicant and
Emmaus sister of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland. In her earlier years, Claudette was active helping in church ministries as Eucharist Minister to the sick, CCD teacher, member of LaLeche League of Miami, and counselor for Respect Life hotline in Hollywood.
Claudette and her husband were avid campers for over 45 years where they made great memories camping with their children and grandchildren. Claudette was very creative and loved to use her creativity painting, cooking, baking, and gardening.
She was generous, hospitable, and above all, optimistic. She loved fellowship with God, family, and friends. Claudette worked from home running a successful nail business before moving to Lakeland. Then she worked ten years in the JCPenney beauty salon. She also worked in the kitchen at Lake Gibson Middle School for six years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three of her brothers.
Surviving are: her husband, of 56 years, John J. Angel; two sons, John E. Angel and wife, Diane, Thomas R. Angel and wife, Jackie; two daughters, Barbara and Claudine Angel; two brothers, Paul and Gerard LaCharite; two sisters, Anne Livio and Frances Conley; two grandchildren, Cameron and Ivy, as well as beloved family and friends.
The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2020 at
Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Rd, Lakeland. Rev. Luis Salazar will officiate.
