Cheryl Ann Mills' Obituary
Cheryl Ann Mills (70) of Polk City passed away January 26, 2025, at her home. Born in East Chicago, Indiana to Herbert and Lulabelle (Dunn) Hollingshead on September 8, 1954. Affectionately, called Cherie by her friends and family but the title of Nana was her favorite.
Cherie never steered away from a challenge. She was the first woman to graduate carpenter school in the state of Florida. Married twice. Cherie provided for her family by doing construction for 20 plus years then retired from Big Lots. She was a wonderful and loving mother and a kickass Nana!
Cherie enjoyed selling eBay, thrifting, yard selling, and reading. She was most fond of spending time with her family. For the past 7 years; she's been a walking miracle. Demonstrating her resilience by carrying a mechanical heart on her back in a backpack.
Preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Lulabelle Hollingshead, sister Luanne Bowens. Survived by her children Sean Hendricks (Amanda), Stacey Hendricks, Stephanie Cofield (Matt), and Salina Mills. Her grandchildren Kaylee Hendricks (Noah King), Sydnee Hendricks (Tyler Fandozzi), Bryce Anderson (Tessa Bell), Ryan Cofield, Grant Walker, Ethan Walker, Josh Hendricks, Jacob Hendricks, Kayson Anderson, Michael Tenbrink, and Jaelynn Widdows; her brothers Don (Deirdre) Hollingshead, Bob Hollingshead, Herbie (Shannon) Hollingshead and her sisters Bonnie Carpenter and Luanne Bowens (deceased).
