Charles Pierce Warren's Obituary
Charles Pierce Warren went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. At the time of his death, he was home with his family and listening to his favorite Gaither music. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 57 years, Martha Ann Warren, his son, Charles H. Warren, and his daughter, Deena Lynn Warren.
Charles, known as C. P. to his family and friends, was born in Dallas, TX. He had been a resident of Lakeland for over 50 years. After completing his education he joined the Navy. He enjoyed his time in the service and was very proud to serve his country. After his career in the Navy, he went to work for Alcan Aluminum from which he retired as an area manager.
C. P. was always very active in his church. He was also a member of the Grand Lodge of TX, belonging to the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and the Shriners.
He loved his family and had a special bond with each of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen (Eddy) Merritt and his grandchildren Jason (Jessica) Merritt, Matthew (Lindsey) Merritt, Thomas (Erin) Merritt, David (Erin) Merritt, and Miranda (Jake) Carter. Great-grandchildren include Brayden Glogower and Rilynn Merritt, Levi, June, and Lane Merritt, Brayden and Brogen Suttle, and Luke Carter.
A memorial service will be held at Gentry-Morrison Southside on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 9600 Kroger Blvd, Suite #105, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 or the SPCA, 5850 Brannen Road, Lakeland, FL 33813.
