Charles Thrift, Sr.'s Obituary
Polk City – Charles Thrift, Sr., 69, passed away Friday July 1, 2016, at his home. He was born in Dogtown, Alabama on February 16, 1947. He spent much of his life as a Roofing Contractor.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Thrift. He is survived by his sons, Curtis Thrift, Charles Thrift, Jr. (Dolly), and Mark Wetherington; daughters, Nicole Thrift, “Crickett” Yates, and Chrissy Hazelman; brothers, John Thrift and James Thrift; 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 1-2 p.m., followed by a service at 2 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland, FL 33801. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
