I remember Chuck coming to my house and wanting to see what kind of candy I had so he could have some to take home and eat while watching TV..
We loved our candy and he loved when I made homemade bread...He would slice it when it was still warm and put butter and jelly on it with a cup of coffee...
Chuck would come to my house with Mary Ellen to see if I had anything I wanted to give away...I had good stuff...
From the time Mary Ellen met Chuck and he met our family be became part of our family ...he helped Mom to keep us kids with shoes, he worked in Pittsburgh in the shoe department at one of the big department stores...That is how they met and they loved each other so much and was together for over 60 years...He and Mary Ellen did so much for us..when I was younger...
Mary Ellen use to yell at Chuck and I because he and I would go back and forth about silly things and Mary Ellen would say you two are worse then two kids,,,,,
Chuck loved when I made homemade bread and wanted a loaf when it was still warm so that could slice it and put butter and jelly on it with a cup of coffee....
I remember when I use to go to their house to play cards or dominios and Chuck and I would sit next to each other so that we could pass cards to each other under the table just so one of us could win...
I remember when the fish fry's would start and Mary Ellen, Chuck and I would do the cole slaw, Mary Ellen would clean the cabbage and cut out the core and Chuck would put it through the food processor....we all had alot of fun, then Mary Ellen and I would go to the fish fry and Chuck would be selling tickets and her and I would have dinner...
Chuck was so proud when he had his children and when his son Joe was born Mary Ellen had to leave Germany before Chuck because he was going to leave Germany before Joe was born so when he got home he was so proud when Joe was born and I and his brother Tommy were the proud God parents..I love my nephew in fact I love all of their children...
I use to help Chuck and Mary Ellen when they had the cleaning service and Chuck was such a perfectionist....everything in its place and sparkling..It was always fun..
When I was young Chuck and Mary Ellen would come to New Alexandria from Pittsburgh and every week end to check on my mom and us to make sure we were ok...He was a good brother-in-law...
Chuck loved the twins and did all he could to help take care of then when Brenda Kay worked and he could be as goo at taking care of his children and grandchildren as any mother could do..He did laundry and he would even sewing things I remember seeing him sewing on the sewin machine when things needed sewed....
Well I guess I should stop because my sister and the kids will think I am wring a long book, but I think I could write a book about Chuck and it would be a good one....Mary Ellen and Chuck had God on there side at all times and for that reason they were happy and lived being together..I will miss you Chuck and I will work hard to keep in touch with Mary Ellen so that she is alright.....Watch over all of us Chuck so that we all can do our best and stay with God....I love you..........
You sister-in-law Kath
