Charles "Chucky" Lee Byars' Obituary
Charles “Chucky” Lee Byars, 66, passed away Nov. 14, 2022.
Chucky was born in Bartow on Oct. 23, 1956, and remained a lifelong resident of the Highland City area. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, and Forgers and Helpers. Chucky enjoyed baseball, football, NASCAR, fishing, billiards and knife throwing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy J. Byars; father, Charles Lee Byars; brothers, Donald W. Byars, Sr. and Jerry Henslee; aunt, Dean Sides; uncles, Larry, Frank and Dalton Harris; cousin, Ronald Sides. He is survived by his son, Darrel Edwards; nieces, Shauna Willis, Donna S. Byars and Dana A. Byars; nephew, Donald “Scooter” W. Byars, Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Jay Jay Willis, Promyse Willis, Jordan Willis, Lilly Willis, Bryson Byars, Brooke Byars, Bodin Byars, Joseph Sanders and Mason Babb; aunts, Lorene Gullet and Jo Voyles; cousins, Vicki Powell, Kim Green, Susan Ivey, Pam Gay, Terry Carrol, Sandy Andrews, Lana Thomas, Wendell Harris, Franky Harris, Deborah Harris and Jennifer Harris.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 5 pm at Cleveland Heights Baptist Church.
