Charles Lemuel Bath went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2016.
Charles Lemuel Bath was born on August 25, 1936 in Lakeland, Florida to Waldo and Maude Bath. Lemuel is survived by a large family including his wife, Sandra; children, Michael Bath, Nancy (Burley) Lilley, Carrie (Tim) Redden, and Robert (Amber) Williams; grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Bailey, Britney (Josh) Grier, Meghan Mulvihill, Olivia Miserandino, Kelsey and Jordon Lilley, Luke and Lillie Redden, Cole and Keen Williams, Ashley and Steven Spears; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Bailey; and siblings J.D. (Shirley) Bath, Benny (Michele) Bath, Mickey (Tuyet) Bath, and Debbie (Jack) Davis. Lemuel was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sister, Dorothy, Billy, Tommy, Gerald, and Ronnie.
Lemuel was a lifelong resident of Lakeland and is mourned by countless extended family members and friends. Lemuel was a strong Christian man and a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a founding member of Gibsonia Baptist Church.
Lemuel was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in Germany and worked for City of Lakeland Electric. He started his own business harvesting and growing hay. The Bath Bar-B-Q was a favorite spring event for North Lakeland. Lemuel delighted in fellowship with everyone and was a true role model and inspiration.
Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Noon, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
