Carrie Mae Rea's Obituary
Carrie Mae Rea, 89, passed away on March 24, 2026 at Somers Hospice House.
Mrs. Rea was born in Grand Isle, Louisiana on October 25, 1936, one of eighteen children to the late Dugere and Andrienne Bradberry. She was the co-owner of Leon D. Rea Construction Company that she ran with her husband, Leon.
Mrs. Rea was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Rea; and nine of her siblings. She is survived by her sons, Timothy (Martha) Rea and Michael (Michelle) Rea; daughter, Roxanne (Kenneth) Brown; eight brothers and sisters; as well as her four grandchildren; Jessica Wisniewski, Melissa Olson, Kyle Rea and Kevin Rea; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 28th from 12 Noon – 1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
