Carolyn Harrell's Obituary
Mary "Carolyn" Harrell, 86, passed away February 4, 2023.
Carolyn was born in Mulberry, Florida on November 21, 1936, to the late Tally and Shellie Cowart. She grew up in Pinecrest, Florida and moved to Lakeland when she married her late husband of 55 years, Jack Harrell. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was involved in the choir, many committees over the years and her beloved Sunday School Class. Carolyn also served as the Church Clerk for over 20 years. She retired as a Retail Accounting Clerk from Publix Super Markets. Carolyn loved spending time with her family and being "Memaw" to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Harrell and daughter, Nancy Harrell. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lucretia Shelnut, sons, Stephen (Kim) Harrell, Mark (Vicki) Harrell, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, 10:00am - 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church with services at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Socrum Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
