Lakeland - Carlton "Carl" D. Walter, 76, passed away March 16, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer.
Carl was born in Beaver Springs, Pennsylvania on November 25, 1939. He served in the U.S. Marines as LCpl in the Third Battalion Platoon 304.Carl loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked at the mines and as a truck driver prior to his retirement.
Visitation will be Mon. from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Services to follow at 11 am at funeral home. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 pm Monday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
