Carlene Smith's Obituary
Lakeland – Mrs. Carlene Smith, 86, passed away at home on Sunday June 18, 2017. She was born in Uvalda, GA and has lived most of her life in Lakeland. Carlene was a member of the first cheerleading squad at Kathleen High School. She is a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Carlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time gardening and fishing.
Carlene was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence. She is survived by four sons; Kenneth (Marie) Smith of GA, Monte (Genie) Smith of MT, Rex (Carol) Smith and Ted (Donna) Smith both of Lakeland; sister, Joyce Dollar; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 10:00 – 11:00am at Crestview Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crestview Baptist Church or Cornerstone Hospice. Arrangements by Gentry Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens.
