Carla C Spires' Obituary
Carla C. Spires, 59, passed away Sunday night, February 12, 2023, in Lakeland. Carla was born to parents Howard Owens and Velma (Pitts) Tackett on March 27, 1963 in London, Ohio. She spent her childhood and upbringing in London, Ohio, and before moving to Florida in 2006, she, her husband and two sons, lived in Newark/Heath, Ohio.
Carla was incredibly family oriented, she loved her family dearly, and dedicated her life to loved ones. Family was everything to her, and spending time with her children and grandchildren was her favorite past-time. She loved to laugh and had a quick wit. She was an excellent planner, always the first in line to help with any event planning. She was very good at, as well as enjoyed, home design.
She was a member of Grace Pointe Church in North Lakeland, and Christian Life Center in Heath, Ohio.
Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Owens and Velma Tackett and stepdad John Tackett; Sister Charidy Terpening; Nephew Matthew Penwell; and brothers-in-law Merrell Pack, Mike Spires, and Bill Rothe.
She is survived by her husband Kelly Spires; Sons Auston and Sean Spires; Daughter-in-law Monique Spires; Grandsons Weston, Ryker, and Sorrin Spires; Sisters Angie Pack, Lori Owens (Jim Bates), Valerie Smith (John), Ellen Owens, Molly Henry (Shawn Beck), and Amanda Marler (Keith); Brothers-in law Jerry (Joanie) Spires; Tom (Sally) Spires, and Denny (Marsha) Spires; Sisters-in-law Sharon Spires, Diane Rothe, and Nancy (Rick) Slagle; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and one great great nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Grace Pointe Church in North Lakeland.
Another service will be held in Heath, Ohio at Christian Life Center on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
Carla will be laid to rest at Wilson Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.
