Reverend Carl C. Walter's Obituary
Carl Walter went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2019.
Carl was born on July 6, 1928 to Roy and Verna Walter of Middleburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 67 years, Charlotte Walter. He is survived by his present wife of 4 years, Elda Walter; daughter Marilyn (Victor) Horn; son Steven (Brenda) Walter; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 nephews and 1 niece.
Carl serviced as a missionary to Bolivia with United World Mission from 1954-2008, where he established one of the first Christian Bookstores in the country and helped establish several Spanish speaking congregations. He mentored many young men who are now serving as Christian leaders in Bolivia. In 2008, he retired to Lakeland, Florida where he continued ministry at First Baptist Church at the Mall as a teacher for both the Son Seekers Class and the Spanish Speaking Class.
Visitation will be on August 16, at 10-11 AM at First Baptist Church at the Mall, with the memorial services following 11-12 at the church.
