Carl Kenneth Smith's Obituary
Carl Kenneth Smith of Lakeland, Florida, was called home on May 5th, 2023, at the age of 88. He passed peacefully in his sleep.
Carl was born in Pelzer, SC on October 7th, 1934, to Reba Beardon and Ralph Smith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and returned to Winter Haven Florida in 1956, after his enlistment.
He is survived by his wife Louella and three boys: John Brant, Patrick Alan, and Everett Alan Smith. He loved his family and worked hard all of his life to provide for them. He was active in his community and was known for giving back to various community projects. He and his wife formed the Viking Realty and Construction Company in 1980 and soon after moved to Lakeland, FL where he retired. Carl has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was blessed, and He read his Bible every day.
Carl is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother William (Buddy) Smith.
At his request, his body will be cremated and there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local charity to help make this a better world.
