Carl Lewis Gaugh Jr.'s Obituary
Carl Lewis Gaugh Jr. of Eaton Park, FL. Passed away in the quiet still morning of Saturday, September, 23rd at 6:30 a.m. at the age of 82.
Carl was born in Westfield Massachusetts, April 26th 1941. He moved to Ohio in 1953 and then to Florida in 1961. In his younger days Carl enjoyed water skiing with his family in local ski shows at Lake Hollingsworth and later he developed the love of hunting & fishing. Carl spent his time hunting rabbits and quail & fresh water fishing. Some of his prized caches; he had mounted. Carl also enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed mechanic work, carpentry and getting to be in the outdoors in nature feeding the squirrels, tending to his garden and just enjoying the Florida sunshine. He also always loved watching the Tampa Bay Rays play.
At the age of 18 Carl married his 1st wife Connie M. (Moore) Marvin in 1959 until 1966. They had three children; Carl Lewis Gaugh III (wife Mandy), Jammy Lee Gaugh (wife Jana) and Joanna Lynn Gaugh Heisel (husband Fred). At age 27 Carl married his 2nd wife Donna (Widner) Dorman Gaugh on September 15th, 1967. They just celebrated 56 years of marriage. Carl helped Donna raise her three children; Ronald Gene Dorman (wife Karen), Jerald Frederick Dorman (wife Mailinn) and Bonita Marie Dorman.
Carl was a hardworking man. He worked with his family at their "Gulf Gas Stations" in Lakeland FL. in the 1960's. In the 70's & 80's he worked at IMC/New Wales Plant as a control room operator and in the 90's Carl received his GED and worked as a Lawn Pest Technician. In the 2000's Carl worked at the Saddle Creek Corp. until he retired in 2016 at the age 75.
Carl is survived by his 1st wife Connie, 2nd wife, Donna and all six of the children, 14 Grand Children and 12 Great-Grandchildren and his only remaining brother Fredrick Gaugh.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl Lewis Gaugh Sr. & Doris Rising Gaugh; and two brothers Robert Gaugh and Franklin Gaugh
Carl left this world quietly and peacefully in his sleep and crossed over to his heavenly home; one would hope that he was welcomed with open arms by his brothers and parents. One thing is certain in this most difficult time; Carl Jr. went home to be with the Lord. We know this because just a few short weeks before his passing; he gave his life to the Lord.
