LAKELAND - C. Dan Stovall, 88, of Lakeland, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, due to natural causes. Dan moved to Lakeland from Pace, FL, in 2007. Born in Gainesville, GA, he previously lived in Rock Hill and Greenville, SC. He had retired in 1990 after 26 years working as an agent and agency manager for State Farm Insurance Cos. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII, and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord and was saved at age 6. An avid golfer in his younger days, he holds a course record of 63. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; two daughters Linda Sexton and husband Mike, and Danette Hensel and husband Keith; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell, Joseph, and Frederick Stovall, and a sister Helen Byrd. Graveside services will take place on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 11:00 am at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. US Navy honors will be rendered.
