Mr. Buddy Chancey passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Lady Lake, FL.
Buddy was born on February 22, 1938 to Leo and Bertha Chancey in Frostproof, FL. He retired from Lykes Brothers, Plant City where he worked as a maintenance supervisor . Buddy was a member of Village of Faith Baptist Church. After retirement, Buddy enjoyed working at Highland Park Nazarene Church, where he and his wife Linda attended. He also loved serving local families by working part time at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes. Buddy was a Christian. He loved God, his family and his country. Buddy retired from Lykes Brothers, Plant City. He was always busy in retirement playing golf, with his buddies from church and serving his Lord.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Chancey; sons, Craig W. (Debbie) Chancey, Glenn P. (Pam) Chancey and Scott A. Chancey; sister, Joyce (David) Torres; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 9 to 10 am at Village of Faith Baptist Church in Wildwood, FL. Funeral services to follow at 10am. Interment will take place at Lakeland Memorial Gardens. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.gentry-morrison.com
