Bonnie Sue Lee, born February 14th 1955 in Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday January 14th 2020 surrounded by her family in Lakeland, Florida. This wonderful woman; a wife, a mother, a “Nana”, a sister and friend will be deeply missed and leaves behind a legacy in which she was very proud.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Leonard “Sonny” T. Lee Jr. and two daughters Tonya Lee Jackson {*Greg Jackson} of Lakeland, FL and Sonya Lee Keller {*Noel Keller} of Winter Springs, FL. Her 7 Grandchildren (Jackson) Chelsie J. Reyes, U.S ARMY {*Andy Reyes, U.S ARMY} Madison Jackson, Liberty Jackson, Gregory L. Jackson; (Keller) Noel Anthony Keller, Ashton Keller & Declan Keller and one great granddaughter Isabella Reyes {Chelsie & Andy Reyes}. She is also survived by her two siblings; Linda Hampson {Ed Hampson} of Riverview, FL and Jesse Yassney {Bettina Yassney} of Tampa, FL.
Bonnie joins her loved ones in heaven; Parents Edna Yassney {Burks} and Jesse Gary Yassney; her infant daughter Stephanie Gail Lee {1976} and her siblings Gary Yassney, Joseph Yassney and Betty Mink.
Bonnie’s marriage to “Sonny”, her children, grandchildren and family were her life’s work and her greatest joy. She loved a good romance novel, a good joke & a belly laugh, cuddles with her grandkids, the History & Hallmark channels and reality TV. She found laughter in everything she did, wherever she was and whomever she was with. People gravitated to her and she made everyone feel like family. Bonnie “Nana” gave THE best hugs and had a warmth like no other.
Bonnie’s family will be celebrating her life on her birthday Friday February 14th 2020 at 2:00PM at Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, FL 33810. The family wishes to create a book told by those who knew her, and ask that everyone bring a memory of Bonnie written on 1 sheet of paper.
