Bonita Kay Haut, age 87, of Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Bonita was born on March 25, 1938, to Carl Miller and Beatrice P. Lyons. She was a 1956 graduate of Breckenridge High School and went on to work for many years as a Scheduler at Consumers Energy, where she was known for her reliability and steady work ethic.
Bonita thoroughly enjoyed her retirement, especially traveling and visiting casinos. She cherished her summers spent at Littlefield Lake and her winters in Lakeland, Florida.
Bonita was married to her loving husband, Wayne Haut, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Gary and Douglas Miller; and her sisters, Brenda Huntoon and Charlene Molema.
She is survived by her brother, Marvin (Debbie) Miller; her son, Chad (Nicole) Doyle; and other family members, including stepchildren Shellie (David) Root, Darren (Kelly) Haut, Ken (Toni) Haut, and Cami Haut. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Gentry–Morrison Serenity Gardens.
