Bobby Gene Cordell Jr.'s Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family of Bobby Gene Cordell, Jr (Junior) announces his passing. He passed away at home in Lakeland on Wednesday, October 23, 2024; He was born in Bartow on April 2, 1963 to Bobby Gene Cordell, and Pauline Giddens Cordell.
Junior was a retired roofer for the Polk County school board. He loves spending time with his kids, especially being a “papa”. He also enjoyed NASCAR, hunting and fishing.
Junior was proceeded in death by both parents.
He has survived by his “bonus” mom, Lorna Spoor Cordell of Auburndale; children, Amy Clark (Robert) Cocoa, Amber Tyer (Chester), Robert Cordell (Misty) and their mother, Lizabeth Cordell, all of Lakeland; Also, Ryland, Paisley, River, and Ryder Cordell all of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Madilynn Martinez of Plant City and their mother, Amanda Cordell of Clarksville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his “bonus" kids, Katrina Reeves of Ocala, Chris, Brandon Crisp and Danielle Hampton, all of Lakeland; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Savannah, Wyatt and Jerrett Clark of Cocoa, Plezent (Kenzie), Alyssa, Jessi and Kolt Tyer, Skyler, Scarlett, Brayden Cordell, and Waylon Collins, all of Lakeland and two great grandchildren.
Also survived by sister Betty Roberts Lake Wales, Hannah Greenfield of Auburndale and Renee Voss of Indiana; along with several aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Junior will be sorely missed by all who knew him but live on our cherished memories. Please join us for his memorial visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Gentry Morrison funeral home at Serenity Gardens.
