Billy Clement's Obituary
Leon “Billy” Clement age 80 passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol G. Clement. Billy is survived by wife Rose Ethridge Clement, beloved daughters, Carol and Cathy, their husbands Tony and Manny, and was a devoted grandfather to Vance Hall, Ethan Del Castillo, and Kylie Del Castillo. He is also survived by his brother, Philip Clement. Remarrying after the death of his wife, Billy’s family grew with the addition of Jennifer Robertson (stepdaughter), Darick Finke (stepson) and wife Erin, and grandchildren Connor, Peyton, and Cayson.
Born in Tampa, FL on November 21, 1943, Billy attended the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine where he played right tackle for the Varsity football team, graduating in 1962. He worked for Publix Printing Department beginning in 1971 and retired from there after 36 years of service.
Billy loved making people laugh, going to the beach, canoeing, fishing, and all things outdoors. You could always find him relaxing on his back porch, soaking in the nature around him. He is remembered for his kind and gentle spirit as he was the embodiment of peace and love. Billy will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Family will receive friends at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home in North Lakeland on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 10AM for the memorial service.
