Billie Frances Heindel's Obituary
LAKELAND - Billie Frances Oldham Heindel died on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Carpenters Manor, Lakeland. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 4, 1918, the daughter of Walter and Rachel Burnside Oldham. She was the loving wife of Frank D. Heindel, to whom she was married for over 70 years. He preceded her in death, as did her parents and younger brother.
She is survived by three children, John (Katherine) Heindel of Beverly Hills, FL, Jeanne Finstein of Wheeling, WV, and Julie (Barton) Weese of Scott Depot, WV. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Billie had been a member of North Lakeland Presbyterian Church. In her younger years, she was active in garden clubs, was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed extensive traveling with her family. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, crossword puzzles, and Bingo.
Funeral services will be held at the Gentry Morrison Funeral Home in Lakeland at 2 pm on Friday, February 19, 2016. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens, Lakeland. Memorial Contributions can be sent to North Lakeland Presbyterian Church, 5129 Highway 98 N, Lakeland, FL, 33809.
