Beverly Ann Jenkins White's Obituary
On Saturday, November 30, 2019, Beverly Ann Jenkins White, loving sister and aunt, was called home at the age of 75.
Bev was born on March 24, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois to Donald and Agnes Campbell Jenkins. Beverly graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and retired from AT&T after 25 years. On June 21, 1963, she married William White who preceded her in death after 46 years together.
Bev’s passion in life was her family. Beverly took care of her mother and her aunts and uncles. She visited the sick, ran errands for the homebound and was always quick with a warm hug and words of encouragement. She loves her siblings above all else. Her sister and brothers, along with their families, were her pride and joy and she encouraged every one of them in any way she could. Bev never met a stranger and she could light a room with her infectious smile. Love was her strength and compassion her gift.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her siblings, James (Mae) Jenkins, Larry Jenkins and Carolyn Sue Jenkins. She also leaves her sister-by-choice, Cindy Blant Johnson. She leaves numerous treasured nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
