Beverly Beery's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Beverly Beery, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, on May 7, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice. Beverly faced a four-year battle with cancer with remarkable strength and grace, leaving this world as she lived in it—surrounded by love and in peace.
Born on September 16, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Ralph and Ruth Craig. Her early life in Louisville was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of a close-knit family. Beverly was predeceased by her loving parents, Ralph and Ruth, her brother Kenneth Craig, and her sister Kathy Frazier, whose memories she treasured deeply.
Beverly was a proud graduate of Lakeland High School, class of 1976, where she began to establish the lifelong friendships and values that would guide her through life. Her dedication and diligence led her to a fulfilling career as a billing and collection specialist at Summit Holdings, where she worked for an impressive 23 years. Beverly’s colleagues remember her not only for her professionalism but for a smile that could light up any room and a quick wit that brought joy and laughter.
A devout woman, Beverly found peace and strength in her morning devotions, always placing her faith at the forefront of her life. Her love for travel and cruising was well-known, as she often spoke of the beautiful places she visited and the adventures she cherished. Beverly’s kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her devoted sisters, Karen Donahoe (Dick) and Lynne Perea (Jerry), and her brother, David Craig (Meg), who will continue to honor her legacy with love and remembrance. Beverly also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom she adored and who greatly enriched her life.
Beverly’s family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life at a graveside service on May 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Oak Hill Burial Park and a reception at 11:00 AM at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel. You are encouraged to dress comfortably, formal attire is not necessary. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Beverly’s spirit of giving, donations can be made to VISTE, an organization close to her heart.
In remembering Beverly Beery, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
