Betty Jean Turner
Lakeland – Betty Jean Turner, 87, passed away June 18, 2025.
Mrs. Turner was born in Coffee County, Alabama on August 30, 1937, to the late Joseph and Carrie Harris. She spent her career tending to others as a nurturing nurse in the medical field prior to retirement. She was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Highland City.
Mrs. Turner cherished spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Timothy (Cynthia) Turner, Kari Janine (Luke) Slocumb and Lisa (Charles) Paul; grandchildren, Benjamin, David, Candace, Cortney, Kayli, Logan, Lindsay and Danielle; as well as 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Turner; grandson, CJ Paul; and all of her siblings.
Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2025 from 9:30 – 10 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Funeral services will follow at 10 am at the funeral home.
