It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Austin Stewart, who left us surrounded by the love of her family on July 25, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 25, 1942, Betty graced this world with her loving spirit, unwavering kindness, and remarkable strength that touched countless lives.
Born in Natural Bridge, Virginia to Lewis and Pauline Austin, Betty moved to North Carolina with her parents before venturing to Florida in 1963 with the love of her life, Junior; and their young daughter Felicia. Together they would build a beautiful life in Florida. Their family grew as they welcomed a son Kevin and daughter Meredith. Betty was the embodiment of love and devotion, dedicating her life to nurturing and caring for her cherished family. Betty worked professionally as a dedicated bookkeeper for many years, demonstrating her strong attention to detail and the enjoyment of working with numbers.
Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years William Junior Stewart, her loving son William Kevin Stewart, and her beloved daughter Meredith Willis and sons-in-love Eddie Willis and Brett Bennett. Betty was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew, and many other loved ones, who will forever cherish her memory. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on through each of them.
When Betty arrived at the gates of heaven, she was met by her daughter Felicia, sister Elizabeth, and many other loved ones that preceded her. Heaven truly has gained another angel.
