Berit Evelyn Husby's Obituary
Berit Evelyn Husby, of Lakeland, Florida passed away Sunday October 13, 2019.
She was born Saturday, November 27, 1943 in Kristiansand, Norway to Kristian and Astrid Loyning. Berit was the loving wife of Harald Husby for over 57 wonderful years.
She grew up in a small town in Norway. In 1962, she married her lifelong love, Harald Husby. Berit and Harald emigrated to the United States in 1965. They moved with their expanding family to New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Florida. Together they worked hard and created a loving home for their three boys. Berit was a selfless provider and homemaker, with a love of travel, reading, bowling and family. She was a kind, caring and generous wife and mother, who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband Harald Husby, her sons, Per Husby (Maryann), Eric Husby (Juliana) and Patrick Husby (Kristin), brothers, Widar Loyning (Kari)and Sigbjorn Loyning, sisters, Kari Voreland and Kristin Kjeldsen (Reidar). She had six grandchildren, Andrew, Christian, Aidan, Rowan, Sophia, and Chloe. She had four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Christian, Jack Per, and Olivia. She is also survived by many other loving relatives and close friends.
For those who have known Berit in her fruitful journey with us, a Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11 am at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel.
